Haftar claims that the final phase of the battle for the liberation of Benghazi started and that his troops are now dealing mostly with snipers entrenched in densely populated areas, which impedes Operation Dignity troops to employ their usual tactics reliant on airstrikes and heavy shelling. Haftar states that snipers’ supply lines have now been cut, that only a few elements resist within the city and that the complete liberation of the city is imminent. Haftar also discusses the alleged role played by Sudan in providing military supplies to the Libya Dawn camp.

Six members of Operation Dignity troops were killed whilst trying to enter the al-Sabri district, located nearby the port. Haftar troops retaliated by shelling the area with heavy weaponry and tanks.
