On 14 November, the head of the Presidential Council, Fayez al-Serraj, stated that Hashem Abedi, the brother of the Manchester bomber Salman Abedi, will be extradited to the UK at the end of 2018. Abedi is the custody of the Special Deterrence Force (RADA) in Tripoli.

On 14 November, the 7th Brigade (Kani Brigade) from Tarhuna withdrew from positions near Tripoli International Airport (TIP) after dislodging the Abu Salim Central Security (ASCS) forces, under the command of Abdul-Ghani al-Kikly (aka Ghnewa), from the location. The Commander of the al-Samoud Brigade, Salah Badi, claimed to have advanced to the airport and taken control of the airport entrance. This remains unverified, though al-Samoud fighters were reported to have participated in the clashes.

On 15 November, the Security Operations Room of Sabratha (previously known as the Anti-ISIS Operations Room) arrested the former head of Sabratha Military Council Taher al-Gharabli at the Dahman checkpoint, south of the city. He is reported to have been in the city for as long as a week in order to attend his father’s funeral. Gharabli was transferred to the military prison in the nearby city of Sorman where he was held for three days. He was released on 18 November after intervention from his Gharabla tribe.
