On 12 August, the head of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Khalifa Haftar, issued a decree promoting 448 LNA officers. Reports suggest that they were promoted because of their success in undertaking security and military operations.

On 13 August, photographs outside of Khoms Port purportedly showing a Turkish G-class frigate with a Sikorsky S-70B-28 Seahawk helicopter overhead were circulated on social media. Some reports suggested there may be 2 frigates and at least one with an identifiable marker. Calculations of the precise geo-location of the frigates showed them to be toward the middle of the dock. The same day, Turkey and the Government of National Accord (GNA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlining enhanced economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

On 11 August, a reported security breach in Jalu in south-eastern Libya prompted a meeting of heads of security directorates in Wahat to form a joint-security room meant to combat migration and fuel smuggling. The breach took the form of skirmishes between Tebu individuals and local youth from the Majabera tribe.
