On 26 November, Wanis Bukhameda, the Commander of the Libyan National Army’s (LNA) new central operations room, ordered LNA forces in Benghazi to arrest anyone using firearms in the streets. This follows a television statement on 25 November in which Bukhameda ordered people who had taken over homes abandoned by ‘terrorists’ to leave immediately. He said criminals would be not be tolerated.
