On 3 June, a man identified as General Electrical Company of Libya (GECOL) employee Abu Bakr Mohammed Ali Khamis was killed, along with four of his children, by masked men in Taraghin in southern Libya. Ali Khamis’s wife and two other children survived the incident. The nature of the attack has led to speculation that ISIS were responsible for the incident, but this has not been confirmed by local sources or by ISIS itself.

On 6 June, an unidentified armed group launched an attack on the Libyan National Army (LNA) held Triangle Checkpoint in Sebha. Two LNA fighters were reportedly killed while four vehicles were stolen in the incident. Local reporting has suggested that those responsible where likely ISIS fighters. However, other claims have indicated they were an armed group linked to local GNA-aligned factions.
