On 14 October, the Misratan Counter-Terrorism Forces (CTF) arrested a man in Sirte on the suspicion that he was a member of ISIS. The individual has been referred to the Attorney General for processing.

On 16 October, a spokesperson for the Sirte Protection Force (SPF) claimed that ISIS fighters had reorganised in large numbers in the mountainous areas of southern Libya by “taking advantage of lax security”. The spokesperson stated that they existed in “dozens” of small groups.

On 16 October, the Libyan National Army (LNA) claimed to have arrested an ISIS member after its Special Forces conducted an operation in the al-Gharat area, near the Mitiga airport in Tripoli. The LNA stated the suspected had been transferred to Benghazi.
