On 15 September, the Libyan National Army’s RADA Central Deterrent Forces reported that they had arrested a member of Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) in Ajdabiya. The individual has been described as a ‘security officer’, though no additional details have yet been given.

This incident follows reports on September 11 that the LNA’s 304th Infantry Brigade, which also constitutes part of the Ajdabiya RADA Central Deterrent Forces, arrested an individual on the suspicion of being a member of an undisclosed terror group.

On 14 September, a terrorist attack was reported to have occurred targeting the Zliten Security Directorate. The assault was undertaken by three attackers, with one killed, another arrested and the third escaping. It is worth noting that there have be unconfirmed counter reposts suggesting this was not a terrorist attack.
